The petrified teen had desperately tried to save himself from the knife blows using a fish and chip shop advertising board, but was tragically killed by a stab to the heart.

Alfie, from Hillingdon, bled heavily from the wound and died in hospital a short time later.

Prosecutor Tony Badenoch QC said Alfie and his brother Jake had visited Benson's bedsit on November 7, where they are said to have tucked into the meal.

When they returned to the block two days later the "pointless" argument blew up again, and moved from the flats to the busy High Street.

He said: "Maxine Benson wielded the knife. She was witnessed to do so by members of the public and CCTV in part, on the day she knifed him in the chest and then left the scene leaving him laying dying”

Stunned commuters travelling home from nearby West Ruislip tube shared shock accounts of the brutal rush hour murder.

Alfie was described as "the nicest kid you could ever meet" by devastated friends after this murder, as they reeled from the "sudden, shocking" tragedy.

Former schoolmate Aran Reynolds, 22, a Heathrow hotel worker from Ladbroke Grove, said: “We were close friends. He was kind of like my younger brother. He was such a good friend.

“I knew him from school. He was the nicest kid you could ever meet. He loved talking about football and we used to play football together for the school team.

“He was a striker and was brilliant at football. He was a Chelsea fan. He was also interested in boxing.

“He was quite tall and strong. He was very gentle and nice to people as well.”.
